I’m really surprised at how well Micah has adjusted to Levi. In the morning when Micah wakes up and sees Levi he gets super excited and runs to where he is. Throughout the day Micah goes up to Levi and watches him, and even offers his pacifier at times !

If you do not know me well you may be surprised to learn, I am a major cheesy dad. Anything that remotely comes close to being cheesy I not only embrace the cheesy I tell everyone that will listen to me, look at the pic or watch the video. WARNING IF YOU ARE OFFENDED BY CHEESY LOOVY DOVEY THINGS…LEAVE NOW…you have been warned !
So this morning Micah was hanging out watching a movie, Levi was on the couch next to me sleeping and Stacy was in the kitchen. Suddenly, with out warning or provocation Levi woke up and started crying. Micah ran over to him with something in his hand and offered it to Levi. At first I thought Micah was going to throw a toy or something at Levi, but much to my surprise Micah gave a love offering to Levi; by offering a pacifier. I smiled with such joy and excitement at Micah and gave him a big hug. Micah looked at me and smiled as if to say. “Hey dad..this pacifier thing works when I cry, I bet it will help Levi when he cries too.”

Levi Asher Littlejohn
Levi meaning “Attached, Joined, Harmony”.
(When God brought the Israelites into the promise land He set the tribe of Levi aside. The Levites were to be the His priests, to serve at His temple, to be a set apart tribe within a set apart nation. They were the only tribe to not receive an inheritance of land from the Lord. In Deuteronomy 18:2 the Lord says of the Levites, ” They shall have no inheritance among their brothers; the Lord is their inheritance, as he promised them.” ESV )
To me Levi means that he is attached, joined, set apart, and in harmony with the Lord. And in fact the Lord is Levi’s inheritance !
Asher meaning “Happy, Happiness, Blessed”.
We’ve literally worked through hundreds and hundreds of names. Levi was the only first name we went back to over and over again – we look at him and see Levi.
Asher suited him so perfectly based on how he introduced himself. There was so much happiness, laughter and joy when he came into the world…. anticipating and preparing for a girl for the last 6 months…. only to hear the Dr. yell, “It’s a boy!”. It was such a fun, wonderful experience full of so much laughter… what could fit this kiddo better but a middle name meaning HAPPINESS!
God obviously had in mind for our little Levi to be a part of our family now. We await the day when we see His plans for “Myla Justice Littlejohn”. ; – )

So a weird thing happened at the hospital today !
May 24th
Around 2:15 am Stacy’s water broke. We got to the hospital around 4am. Stacy was dilated to 2cm. She continued to dilate normally every couple of hrs. Around 10:30 am the nurse checked and she was dilated to 6cm. About 30 minutes later Stacy felt something “weird” happening down there and the nurse checked… she was dilated to 10 and the nurse yelled “We’re having a baby!”. The Dr. rushed in. The nurses got everything ready. Stacy pushed and out popped a beautiful baby! The only weird thing, we were told we were having a girl and out came a beautiful baby boy! Stacy and laughed so hard I almost fell over. God has a sense of humor – we immediately felt His presence and joy all around us. We couldn’t be happier with our amazing new son. Baby Boy Littlejohn entered the world at 11:22am weighing in at a whopping 9 lbs 5 oz and 21 inches long. We are thinking, praying, pondering what this new gift of life’s name will be.
