North Country Review

I was excited to see another great performance from Charlize Theron, and I was not let down. She once again sets herself apart by the difficult roles she takes and masters. She plays a woman from a small town that gets a job at the local, male dominated, mine. She, as well as the other women, endures sexual harrasment from the good ole boys. The women put up with it for sometime, but finally get tired of it and stick up for themselves. Based on a true story; I would watch this again….great movie.

Anyone that is married to woman that has a sister HAS to see this movie. Its a cute comedy that deals with the complexity of female relationships, mainly the sister to sister variety. Cameron D plays the obnoxiously unstable sister that does whatever she wants to who ever she wants. Toni C plays the responsible older sister that gives up her inocences, as found out later in the movie, to help raise Cameron and keep her away from the a painful childhood. All in all I give it a 8 out of 10. Just don’t see it with a bunch of dudes.
